First picture of young mum killed in horror A90 crash as tributes paid to 'amazing woman'

A young mum was killed in a single-vehicle crash on the A90 that left two men and two children in hospital.

Rebecca Tasker, 32, died following the accident near Errol in Perth and Kinross at around 11.05am on Friday, August 12. Ambulance crews attended but Rebecca, a passenger in a black Nissan Micra, died at the scene.

The other four occupants of the car - a 29-year old man, a 20-year-old man, a seven-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy - were taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment. Their conditions are unknown.

Devastated loved ones have been tribute to Rebecca, who has been described as a "lovely young woman" who "will be missed by many".

Rebecca’s cousin Alana Dempster lead the tributes as she changed her profile picture on Facebook to a snap of the pair and said: “My heart is broken.”

Meanwhile Shellie Lyon said: “She was amazing and will be missed loads. Such an amazing woman and mother gone far too soon.”

Hayley Milne said: “Such a shame thoughts are with her family and those wee kiddies! She was such a funny wee character.”

Stephanie Orr said: “She was my first friend when I moved here all those years ago. She will be missed by many. I’m going to miss her so so much.”

Danielle Finn said: “Absolutely devastated getting this news today, you will be missed.”

Stacey Fergusson said: “Heartbreaking news, in total shock," while Caitlin McGrath added: “You’ll be sorely missed.”

Lucy Joanne Donaldson said: “She was so funny," and Michelle Stewart added: “You were a lovely young woman. You will be missed. Rip.”

The road was closed for around six hours as police launched a full investigation after the crash.

Police Sergeant Strachan of the Road Policing Unit said : “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased at this difficult time.

“We are conducting extensive enquiries into the circumstances of this incident and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

“I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have dash-cam footage to contact us as soon as possible.

“I would like to thank members of the public for their patience while we carried out our investigation into this serious collision.”

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting 1349 of August 11.
