Tributes have been paid Lisa Morrison after she was tragically found dead on Girvan beach two days before Christmas.
Cops launched a probe into the death of the 47-year-old who was discovered on the beach near Golf Course Road in the Ayrshire town at around 11am on Monday , December 23.
Lisa's small Staffordshire Bull Terrier was found dead on the beach yesterday as Police Scotland scoured the area.
Tributes have poured in for Lisa on social media.
Denise Hamilton wrote on Facebook: "So sad especially at this time of year my thoughts are with all her family and friends thinking of you all at this very sad time."
Pamela Dunlop said: " Heartbreaking, thinking of all the family at this time of year especially."
Jacquie Mccrorie commented: "Tragic news thinking about the family so sad."
Caroline McIlwraith said: "So sad. RIP Lisa and sending love n hugs to all her family."
Caz Munn wrote: "Rest in peace Lisa love u always and forever."
Lisa's death is currently not being treated as suspicious , however police are appealing to the public for information.
Detective Inspector Stuart Lipsett at Ayr CID said: “I’d like to speak to anyone who may have seen Lisa between 6.30 am on Saturday, 21 December, 2019 and 10 am on Monday, 23 December.
"Lisa is described as 5 ft 7, slim build with dark shoulder length hair and was wearing a black leather jacket, dark jeans and white trainers.
"We know that she had been out walking her small Staffordshire Bull Terrier on Saturday along the riverside leading to the harbour at Girvan and the dog was also found dead on the beach today, Tuesday, 24 December, 2019.
"Anyone who has seen Lisa should contact police via telephone number 101 quoting incident number 1105 of 23 December, 2019."
