First picture of woman killed in horror Highlands road crash

The woman killed in a horror crash in the Highlands on Monday has been named by police.

Melina Rosa Päprer, 24, died when the blue Citroen C3 in which she was a front-seat passenger in, collided with a grey Honda CRV travelling north on the A82 near Borlum Farm, Drumnadrochit, around 3.15 pm.

Cops say the family of Melina, who came from from Luneberg, in Germany, have been informed.

The 27-year-old driver of the Citroen C3 and the 56-year-old woman driver of the Honda CRV remain in Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.

The man's condition had been described as serious but stable and the woman is said to be stable.

  Officers are still appealing for any witnesses to the crash and to those who may have dash-cam footage to come forward.
