First picture of tragic Helensburgh man as suspect charged in connection with death

The is the first picture of a tragic Helensburgh man has been released after police arrested a suspect in connection with his death.

Edward Mackin, 56, from Rosneath, was found dead at his home address on Clachan Road at around 10.55am on Friday November 27.

Police probing the death have since arrested and charged a 35-year-old man in connection with the death.

They are due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on later today.

A Police Scotland statement read: "A 35-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a 56-year-old man in Rosneath, Helensburgh.

"The deceased can be named as Edward Mackin from Rosneath (Pictured).

He was found dead at his home address on Clachan Road around 10.55am on Friday, 27 November. 

"The 35-year-old is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Monday, 30 November, 2020.
