A 70-year-old man who tragically died in a collision in Edinburgh has been named.
Allan Moir from Edinburgh sadly passed away at the Royal Infirming of Edinburgh after being rushed to hospital on the evening of Saturday, February 4.
Road Policing officers are continuing enquiries following a fatal road crash on Haymarket Terrace, Edinburgh.

Mr Moir’s family has thanked the emergency services that rushed to the scene after a call was received by police at around 5.40pm on Saturday. They have asked for privacy at this time.
The family made the following statement: "We would like to thank the police, paramedics and members of the public who tried to save our beloved Dad and Grandad. As a family, we ask for privacy at this difficult time."
Emergency services were called on Saturday evening following a collision between a bus and Mr Moir. Traffic was diverted while police and paramedics attended the scene.
Officers are appealing to anyone who may have information regarding this incident to contact them via 101, quoting incident 2828 of 4 February, 2023.
