First picture of teenager killed in horror A96 crash as pals pay tribute to 'lad who always had smile on his face'

Heartfelt tributes have been paid to a teenager who was killed in a horror two-vehicle crash in

Moray

Stuart Begg, 18, died following the smash between his lime green Ford Fiesta and a yellow Ford Transit on the A96 near Keith at around 7.35pm on Monday, July 26.

The teenager was a keen footballer from Keith, and has been described as 'one in a million' by devastated pals.

One heartbroken friend said: "He always had a smile on his face no matter what he was going through."

Another described Stuart as: "One in a million."

A third said: "Rest easy Stuart."

While another simply added: "Gonna miss u."

Another friend said: "He was such a lovely wee soul and such a happy guy."

A further tribute read: "Will forever remember his cheeky character."

The road was closed for nine hours following the crash.

Three people - aged 23, 28 and 19 - who were within the Ford Transit were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

The 23-year-old is in a critical condition.

Police in the north east are appealing for information.

Sergeant Craig McNeil, of the Road Policing Unit based in Aberdeen, said: "Enquiries are ongoing and we're appealing for people with any information, dash-cam footage and who perhaps saw either vehicle shortly before the crash to contact us."

Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 3280 of July 26.
