First picture of Scots dad who died in 'unexplained' incident as cops open probe

Tributes have been paid to a 36-year-old dad who died following an incident in Glasgow on Wednesday.

Locals have named Kevin Kennedy as the man rushed to hospital after being found on Cornwall Street South in the city's Cessnock area at 11.30pm on October 5. Despite the efforts of medics he was pronounced dead at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are currently treating his death as "unexplained". In a post made on social media earlier on Thursday, Kevin's sister Amy Roberts was among those paying tribute to the dad, hailed by pals as a "legend".

She wrote: "Not got any words at all...tonight at 12.10am my big brother Kevin Kennedy passed away! My heart is in total pieces and I cannot put into words how much this had tore our family apart.

"It still doesn’t even feel real. I hope wherever you are your at peace and looking down on us all.

"Kev you really were my best friend and enemy all in one and there will never ever be a day that you are forgotten I promise. I love you with all my heart, fly high."

One tribute said: "Can't believe I'm writing this...Kevin Kennedy love you bro, GBNF. Always be in my heart and thoughts forever, dance with the angels."

Pal Jonny said: "Rest in peace Kevin Kennedy some say friends, I called you family brother. Going to miss your everyday phone calls while I'm working n getting moaned at aff the gaffer.

"Always made sure I was alright when you were going through the mill yourself. Thank you for everything you ever done for me, you were a king."
