First picture of pensioner who died in horror Highland crash

A pensioner who died in a horror Highland crash has been named as tragic Allan Logie Marshall.

The 75-year-old, from Poolewe, died from serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police raced to the one car crash which happened on the A832 between Gairloch and Poolwe at around 1.50pm on Friday, 6 November.

But Emergency services couldn't save Allan who had been the driving a white Volkswagen Golf.

Now officers are appealing for dashcam footage as enquires continue.

Sergeant Alasdair Mackay from Dingwall’s Road Policing Unit said: “Our thoughts remain with the friends and family of Allan at this difficult time.

  “Our investigation is ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this tragic incident and we would appeal to anyone who may have been in the area at the time and either saw the incident take place, or who was on the A832 and may have relevant dashcam footage which might help our enquiries to please come forward.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting incident number 1976 of 6 November.
