Heartfelt tributes have been paid to a "dear friend" who died after falling from scaffolding in Aberdeenshire.
George Forbes, 77, passed away after falling at St Peter's Episcopal Church in Peterhead at around 3pm on Wednesday, August 18.
Emergency services scrambled to the scene but the pensioner could not be saved.
Another 77-year-old man, named locally as Alistair Buchan, was rushed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.

It's believed the pair were trying to carry out repairs on the church roof when they fell from the scaffolding.
The local community has been left devastated by the death of Mr Forbes, who was a former worker at Balfour Beatty Construction.
St Andrew's church in Aberdeen paid tribute in a special live streamed Holy Communion ceremony as they posted on their Facebook: "We Pray for the soul of George Forbes and the healing of Alistair Buchan."
During the Facebook Live, they said: "We come together as a people of God, with a heavy heart with the news of two of our fellow pilgrims of the congregation of St Peter's in Peterhead who suffered tragic reality last night as they were working on the church building.
"A dear friend George Forbes passed away and we have Alistair Buchan in ARI at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
"We remember Alasdair's wife, who is distraught, and the whole family of St Peter's in Peterhead, praying for God's presence to be with them and sustain them in this very challenging time."
Mr Forbes was an avid bowler and former Past President of his local club.
Paying tribute, Peterhead Bowling Club said on Facebook: "Stick in guys and some sad news about a former Past President and former member of the club, who will be very sadly missed around the greens and further afield of Buchan."
A member commented: "Sad to hear of George. A member of our club for a lot of years."
Another said: "Such a tragedy."
While a third simply added: "So sad x"
Cruden Bay Bowling Club, of which George was a member, cancelled an event this evening and said: "This is being done out of respect for George and to allow members to process this terribly sad news.
"George was a stalwart of the Club and the wider Bowling Community and his presence both within the club and on green will be hugely missed.
"Our sympathises and thoughts go out to George's family at this extremely sad time."
In another tribute, a devastated friend said: "Rest in peace pal gonna miss you at the club thanks for all the help and advice x"
Police confirmed the Health and Safety Executive has been made aware of the incident and a probe has been launched.
