First picture of 'one of a kind' mum killed in horror West Lothian crash as pals raise cash for 'send off she deserves'

Heartbroken loved ones of a mum killed in a West Lothian horror crash are raising cash to give her the 'send off she deserves'.

Emma Kirkland, 37, from Armadale died after her Peugeot 208 collided with a Renault Master van on the A801, between the Lathallan and Bowhouse Roundabouts in Polmont on Wednesday.

The tragic mum-of-two was pronounced dead at the scene.

Devastated friends have launched a fundraiser to give their 'one of a kind' pal a fitting send off.

Zoey McBride set up the Go Fund Me page .

She wrote: "Unfortunately my beautiful friend lost her life on July 24. 

"She was one of a kind. 

"Biggest heart, biggest personality biggest smile. 

"She leaves behind her two wee boys who will miss her dearly.

"I’m hoping anything we can raise will go towards helping her family at this time to give her the send off she completely deserves. 

"Emma you will always hold a place in my heart."

In less than 24 hours the page has raised almost £400.

Touching tributes have been paid to the young mum on social media.

Stephanie Milne wrote on Facebook: Rest easy beautiful.
"Such a bubbly personality and beautiful soul.
"God really does take the best."

Jean Wares added: "RIP Emma, so so sorry to hear such sad news.

"Prayers and thoughts to your two lovely boys and all your family.

"You were such a lovely vibrant girl, Emma."

Andrew Robertson commented: "She was a wonderful person and a truly devoted mum.

"My thoughts go out to her family at this difficult time."

Emma Macmillan wrote: "I worked with Emma for a few years and she was always the life and soul of the team.

"My heart goes out to her gorgeous little boys and the rest of her family.

"Rest in Peace Emma."

Police probing the horror crash say 'inquiries into the full circumstances of the incident are ongoing'.

Sergeant David Ross from the Road Policing Unit in Stirling said: "I would like to once again extend our deepest sympathies to Emma Kirkland's family and friends and ask that anyone who can assist with our investigation into this collision, contacts police immediately.

"In particular, those who believe they have dash-cam footage, which captures what happened, are urged to come forward."
