First picture of Everton assistant manager Luis Boa Morte after Leighton Baines signs new deal

This is the first picture of Luis Boa Morte as Everton's new assistant manager.

The Blues appointed the former Arsenal frontman after Marco Silva's long-serving No2 Joao Pedro Sousa left Goodison Park to become boss of Portuguese side Famalicão.

Toffees manager Silva worked with 41-year-old Boa Morte during his time at Sporting Lisbon where the former Portugal international coached the club's under-19s.

Boa Morte spent 14 years playing in England with Arsenal, Southampton, Fulham and West Ham before a spell with Chesterfield in 2012.

And his knowledge of the English game is a big part of Silva's reasons for bringing him to Everton.

He was pictured alongside Marcel Brands and Leighton Baines as the Everton full-back signed a new one-year deal taking his Blues career into a 13th season since signing from in the summer of 2007.
