First photo of tragic Coatbridge woman after suspect arrested over 'suspicious' death

The first picture of a woman who was discovered dead n Coatbridge yesterday has been revealed.

Catherine Ann Campbell's body was found at a property in Renfrew Place.

The alarm was raised at around 5.25am as police raced to the scene after reports of a disturbance.

On arrival they found the 39-year-old dead under allegedly 'suspicious' circumstances.

Now cops have arrested a 28-year-old woman who has been charged in connection.

The woman is due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Monday, 27 July, 2020. 

Detective Inspector Pauline Thomson, of the Major Investigation Team, said: “Our thoughts go out to the family and friends of Catherine Ann at this difficult time. 

“Enquiries continue into the exact circumstances surrounding the death which is currently being treated as suspicious. 

“We have an increased police presence in the area and we would like to reassure the public that there is no threat to the wider community. 

“Anyone with any information that could assist with our investigation is urged to contact officers.

“Police Scotland can be contacted by calling 101 and quoting incident number incident 0942 of 25 July, or report this anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
