First photo of Ewan Bremner as Alan McGee in Creation Stories, the new film about the Glasgow music mogul's life

The first pic of Trainspotting actor Ewan 'Spud' Bremner as Alan McGee on the shoot of the new biopic about the record label boss has been released.

Written by Irvine Welsh and exec produced by Danny Boyle, 'Creation Stories' charts McGee's transformation from young Glaswegian upstart to the most successful pop mogul in Britain.

The feature length film is based on McGee’s autobiography, “The Creation Records Story: Riots, Raves and Running a Label”.

Having grown up in Glasgow, McGee attended King's Park Secondary School (where he met future Primal Scream founder Bobby Gillespie), and co-founded Creation Records in 1983.

Managing The Jesus and Mary Chain and overseeing Oasis' rise to become one of the biggest bands in the world, he also brought us My Bloody Valentine, House of Love, Ride and, of course, Glasgow's own Primal Scream.

New additions have joined the cast for the film, including British actor Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter Film Series), comedian Ed Byrne as well as Paul Kaye (Game Of Thrones) and Thomas Turgoose (This is England).
