First photo of British boy, 5, who died on Magaluf holiday after cardiac arrest

A five-year-old boy who died after going into cardiac arrest while on holiday with his family has been pictured.

Noah Blodwell began vomiting before collapsing and going into cardiac arrest, at Sol Barbados Hotel in Magaluf, Majorca.

Emergency services rushed to the four-star hotel and reportedly managed to recover the boy’s pulse using CPR.

Police also helped close off roads so an ambulance could get him to Son Espases Hospital in the Majorcan capital Palma as quickly as possible, where he died.

Cronica Balear reported on Saturday the youngster, from Faringdon, in Oxfordshire, had been complaining of stomach pains and had been vomiting before he collapsed.

It also said his parents had decided to give him a paracetamol before he took a turn for the worse.

Several local police patrols and at least three ambulances responded to an emergency call from the hotel, which is understood to have been made just before midday on Friday after a doctor was called.

He is said to have still been unconscious when he was rushed to hospital in a “critical condition" with a police escort, but died after an emergency operation.

London Street Barbers, in Faringdon, where Noah was a customer, closed today out of respect.

In a Facebook post, they said: "Good morning. London Street Barbers will be closed today out of respect.

"On Monday we had some very sad news that one of my very young customers fell very poorly then passed away on holiday.

"Noah Blodwell was only 5 1/2, he was the most amazing little lad who has let me cut his hair over the last three years.

"So out of respect for his family, I'm closing today and will be back tomorrow as normal. God bless you little angel you will be so very missed.

"A day to reflect and to think about Noah, a beautiful boy who lit up the room when he walked in.

"RIP sweetheart, I hope you're playing with trains in heaven."

Well-wishers replied to the post sending condolences to Noah's family.

"That's awful news. That poor family, can't imagine the pain they must be feeling. I don't know them but sending all my love and thoughts to them."
