First photo of black hole is FAKE, conspiracy theorist claims

Yesterday, an international team of astrophysicists made history after they revealed the first ever photo of a black hole.

While the image has been hailed by many as a landmark for physics , some people have claimed that the image isn't real.

Roosh V, a controversial men’s rights activist , claims that the black hole photo is ‘almost certainly fake.’

He tweeted an image of the black hole alongside an image of Katie Bouman, who led the creation of the algorithm behind the image.

He said: “This ‘black hole’ photo is almost certainly fake. I'm not good at photoshop but can create a more believable black hole photo.

“It only went viral because the news is desperate to pat a woman on the head for doing anything but make a baby.”

Worryingly, many people appear to agree with Roosh V’s claims.

One user replied: “Lmao this is ridiculously true. She wanted vitality and got it.”

Another added: “I bet in reality she probably has science geek beta orbiters doing the research for her behind the scenes and she's just taking the credit.”

While Roosh V sounds pretty bitter about Ms Bouman’s incredible achievement, MIT was quick to praise her work.

Just to clarify, this was the first image *ANYONE EVER MADE* of a black hole.”
