First News, the weekly children's newspaper, has joined up with Save the Children and the government's international development department to launch a campaign aimed at drawing attention to the millions of children around the world affected by conflict. Called Conflict Children, it is hoped to involve every British school over the coming year.
The paper is providing an education resource pack on its website. Editor Nicky Cox says: "It is so important that our children gain a deep understanding of some of the causes and effects of conflict, knowing that they can play their own part in helping to change the world for children."
