First Moffat Farmers' Market of 2021 goes down a treat on Mother's Day

The first Moffat Farmers’ Market of the year went down a treat on Mother’s Day.

And the support for the producers from the public showed just how much they’d missed the chance to buy fresh, local produce.

Despite the overcast day there was a good turnout of customers in the designated area outside the town hall.

The market was strictly run to Covid restrictions which meant the usual crafters stalls could not operate.

However, organisers made sure there was a good mix with all stallholders wearing face masks and gloves and offering hand santiser to shoppers.

There was strict control over numbers and a one-way system for visitors.
