First model green booth in Lucknow: Get inked in clean space

LUCKNOW: A model green polling booth has been established at AP Sen Memorial Girls’ PG College near Charbagh.

While the electric supply to the booth runs on solar power, the voters will use electric cart vehicles to reach their. Drinking water will be available in traditional earthen pitchers and ‘kulhads’.

Also, the approach road is decorated with vertical wall gardens to make the area green. Apart from it, the first male and female voter will be offered one free sapling to be planted at the booth called ‘Mat Vruksha’.

The inspection of the booth was done by district forest officer (DFO) Dr Ravi Kumar Singh on Tuesday.
