First look: Revamped Pixar Place at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Walt Disney World debuted its new-look Pixar Place at Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park this month. It comes complete with "Incredibles" experiences _ think dance party _ and a re-imagined space previously known as the way into Toy Story Mania.

Here's what we saw on Day One.

What: Pixar Place gets plussed.

Where: Back by Toy Story Land at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

What's new: The entire alleyway was been redecorated in a Municiberg 1960s theme, featuring walk-around characters from "The Incredibles" movie series.

What to do: There are dance parties, funky period-piece photo ops and a meet-and-greet area known as the Edna Mode Experience. Folks line up to see Edna, while Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl and Frozone take shifts on the dance floor and with interactive games.

What to watch out for: There's a TV-news character doing live reports from the street, possibly airing you and yours onto a big screen near the dance area.

Also, the food cart/bakery is small but tasty. There are num num cookies ("warm crunchy but gooey chocolate chip cookie tart," according to the sign) and, be still my heart, key lime pie on a stick ($4.99).

What was here before: the entrance to Toy Story Mania, a "Cars" display, some merchandise and food.

What about the future: Beyond the back wall lies (stage whisper) Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.

What made me smile: The soundtrack, including "These Boots are Made for Walking."

What else: Nearby, inside Walt Disney Presents, visitors can now meet Mike and Sully from "Monsters, Inc."
