First Look: Jaybird's Tarah Pro Sports Wireless Earbuds Delivers 14 Hours Of Battery Life For $160

The Jaybird Tarah Pro sports wireless earbuds ($160) delivers 14 hours of battery life and features a non-stick cord made of reinforced reflective nylon and a new Magnetic Snap Lock that automatically pauses your music when the earbuds are snapped together.

The Jaybird Tarah Pro ($160) is the first sports wireless earbuds of the company’s new Pro Series line designed for those that want to embark on an all-day adventure or take on endurance training thanks to its 14-hour battery life.

Tarah Pro can be worn either over or under the ear and features a non-stick cord made of reinforced woven reflective nylon – similar to a climbing rope – that is tougher and harder to tangle while being more pleasant to touch, a new Magnetic Snap Lock (similar to Apple’s $120 BeatsX) that automatically pauses your music when the earbuds are snapped together, and an internal motion sensor which turns off the headphones after 15 minutes of inactivity – the music automatically restarts where you left off when you put the buds back in your ear.

The inline remote is slightly curved so when you cinch the strap behind your head, it feels more comfortable.

Jaybird’s wireless sports earbuds current product line: Run (true wireless earbuds competing with Apple’s AirPods), Tarah Pro, X4 and Tarah

The latest wireless earbuds from Logitech’s Utah-based subsidiary delivers 14 hours of battery life – the tiny batteries are housed in each of the actual buds – and can be fully recharged from zero in just 2 hours, while a quick 5-minute charge gives you 2 full hours of play time.

The Tarah Pro is waterproof (IPX7), sweat-proof, and capable to handle submersion down to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes which, unfortunately, means using the proprietary USB charger which was also updated – it now magnetically adheres to the inline remote and makes it easier than the previous versions to connect.

The latest version of the Jaybird app runs users through a quick hearing test in order to create the ideal sound profile for your ears and saves it to the device itself, so if you use the earbuds with other devices, the personal EQ setting will carry over.
