The first pictures inside the luxury boutique flats set to be built on the site of a historic Cardiff Bay building have been revealed.
Built on the site of the legendary Casablanca Club, developers say the apartment block - aptly named 'Casablanca' - is the city's first boutique, all-rental residential development.
The former club was one of the capital's most popular, and occasionally notorious, nightclubs and live music venues of the 1970s and 1980s - drawing in internationally renowned artists.

After being knocked down almost 20 years ago, construction work has almost finished for the 20-apartment building in the heart of Cardiff Bay on Mount Stuart Square.
Made up of one and two-bedroom apartments, alongside a luxury penthouse and a private car park, the properties in the new Casablanca Building are now available to rent and people have moved into six of the apartments already.

Some of the flats are being let on a commercial lease for professional serviced apartments, while the remaining 15 apartments are being let via estate agents MGY.
The building includes sixteen apartments with two double bedrooms and two bathrooms, one ensuite. There are also four large one-bedroom apartments. A retail unit takes up the ground floor.

Though unfurnished, the properties boast a range of existing features, including contemporary fully fitted kitchens and bathrooms, a washing machine and a tumble dryer in a separate utility room, fitted wardrobes and blinds, high ceilings and large windows.
Eight apartments also have private balconies.

Super-fast fibre broadband is also included in the price, as is use of a large storage room for bulky possessions, bike storage, a communal roof terrace and parcel delivery room. Meanwhile, private car parking is available at an additional cost.
All apartments have keyless entry, and wifi-enabled electric heating that can be controlled remotely.

Five of the properties are currently being advertised on MGY's website - the most expensive being 1,350 in monthly rent, and the cheapest being £950.

It's a marked change compared to the former building that stood on the same spot. From 1965, the Casablanca was a central space to congregate and share a love of music in Tiger Bay.

It drew famous artists from all over to perform, including Aretha Franklin, Jimmy Ruffin and Spandau Ballet, as well as legendary Welsh artists such as Geraint Jarman and his band Y Cynganeddwyr. Owing to its prominence in the lives of Tiger Bay residents, the venue still holds a place in the heart of the community.
Originally the Bethel Chapel, the original Casablanca operated from the late 1960s until the early 1990s and was eventually demolished in 1996.
