This is the first look inside the huge Marvel’s Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. exhibition as it arrives in Cardiff .

The interactive, multi-room exhibition will be open to the public at St David's Shopping Centre in Cardiff from  Saturday June 22 to Monday September 9  and will be the first time the experience has been open in the UK outside London.

The highly-anticipated exhibition will allow guests to step inside the popular films and become part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, whether trying to lift Thor’s Hammer or taking a sneak peek at Bruce Banner’s Lab.

S.T.A.T.I.O.N. is an acronym for Science Training and Tactical Intelligence Operative Network, and as part of their training fans will get the opportunity to interact with props and costumes straight from the big screen.

The exhibition is spread across a number of rooms (Mei Lewis)

Highlights include:

•       The Thor Observatory – dedicated to Thor Odinson, King of Asgard and son of Odin. Test your worthiness by attempting to lift a simulation of Thor’s Hammer, Mjölnir, view Thor’s outfits and study the universe and its current parameters using NASA’s EYE on the exoplanets program.

•       Check out Captain America’s personnel file and explore the cutting-edge science that made Steve Rogers into Captain America.

•       Iron Man Engineering Bay – trainee agents have the chance to not only view Iron Man’s iconic suits but also play a virtual experience wearing Hulkbuster Armour.

•       Ever wondered what Bruce Banner’s Lab looks like? Explore the Bio Lab transformation of Dr. Banner’s superior brain as he morphs into Hulk.

It includes a number of interactive exhibits (Mei Lewis)

General manager for St David’s Cardiff Steven Madeley said: “We are so excited that the Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. has opened its doors, choosing Cardiff as its next location alongside iconic cities across the world.

"Thousands of Welsh Marvel fans have been counting down to its opening, and the first weekend has already sold out. This marks the start of a fantastic summer at St David’s, with events, installations and fun activities lined up from now right through until the children are back to school, making the centre the perfect destination for a family day out!”
