A stunning multimillion-pound apartment scheme with some of the best views in Durham city has been unveiled.
The Gardens is a new community of 153 plush apartments set across a trio of buildings, in the new Milburngate development taking shape in the city’s northern quarter on the banks of the River Wear. Developers have issued images of the scheme as the finishing touches are put in place, saying the studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments are surrounded by a thriving new neighbourhood of places to eat, drink, shop and play.
New leisure arrivals in the city include a boutique Everyman cinema, a BrewDog bar and a Bar + Block restaurant. Operators say all the apartments are furnished and kitted out to the highest spec, and will be available to rent from January 2023, with potential residents being given the choice of floorplans including duplex and loft style apartments. The monthly rental fee also gives access to rooftop terraces, communal gardens and an onsite team.

Milburngate has been developed in partnership between Arlington Real Estate and Richardson, and the new residential scheme will be operated by Native Residential, a growing independent build-to-rent operator which has other properties in Birmingham, Leeds, London, Manchester and Milton Keynes.
