First look inside Star & Dove Pub following £100,000 refurbishment

A Bristol pub has reopened following a major refurbishment, including a complete overhaul of the food menu.

Star & Dove, on St Luke's Road in Totterdown, has had a £100,000 refit including a brand new bar and more outdoor seating.

Managed by chef Newstead Sayer customers can now indulge in home made dishes including beef short rib and lobster, as well as coffee and cake, and a roast on Sundays.

Newstead took over the  pub two months ago and has kitted it out with the help of Ei Publican Partnerships.

Keith Gordon Regional Manager for Ei Publican Partnerships, says the refurbishment has given the the Star & Dove a new lease of life.

He said: "I am looking forward to working with Newstead to realise this pub’s great potential, especially with the food trade - his team has taken the pub from strength to strength”.

As well as a makeover indoors, its rear courtyard has also been revitalised with a cosy seating area and a wall garden feature.
