First look inside Nottingham's new Broadmarsh Car Park and Bus Station

New pictures show inside the 'fantastic' new Broadmarsh Bus Station and Car Park.

The impressive facility, which is set to open on November 1, includes more than 1,200 car parking spaces.

It also has 81 charging points for electric cars.

In a Tweet, Nottingham City Council said: "We’re sure you’ll agree it’s looking fantastic. We’re putting the final touches into place and making sure everything is spick and span. It won’t be long now – the countdown is on to 1 November 2021."

Nottingham City Council is still hopeful the car park will be widely used, with the refurbished Nottingham Castle and new Nottingham College in the vicinity.

The local authority also hopes some of the spaces could be taken by the 4,000 staff working at the new HMRC building in Unity Square, due to open next year.

The City Council has said ticket prices at the car park will be in line with those at its multi-storey on Fletcher Gate.

It comes after it was reported that the cost of running and managing the Broadmarsh car park has increased by £1.8m.
