First look inside Leila Lily's new basement club lounge as 212 prepares to open in Newcastle

The new Leila Lily's, which has now opened its doors in Newcastle, is now following up with the launch of its new basement club lounge.

The 212 club is the final phase of the cocktail bar and restaurant in Grey Street and is all set to welcome first customers.

And what they will find is a low-lit, inviting environment featuring black and silver decor and a sparkling bar with geometric designs, wall art murals, mirrors and curved booths.

The new addition to the Newcastle night scene, which will have regular DJ nights, will play the likes of hip hop and R&B, and aims to continue the vibe - and sense of the glamour -  captured in the sophisticated setting of the restaurant and cocktail bar upstairs.

A unique feature of club 212 is a table with an inlaid ice bucket so that customers can keep their chilled bottle of Champagne or vodka to hand while they relax, listening to the music.

The idea is to offer a whole Leila Lily's experience so that customers - and hotel guests of Grey Street Hotel next door which is now linked up - can enjoy cocktails in the new bar before having a meal in the restaurant, accompanied by piano music, and then extend their evening to the club downstairs which is open from 9pm tonight.
