First look inside £10 million Dixie Dean Hotel and restaurant in Liverpool

Liverpool’s brand new £10 million Dixie Dean hotel is ready to open to the public.

The 100-bedroom hotel, on Victoria Street, will celebrate the life and career of its namesake EFC’s Dixie Dean, who is known as Everton’s greatest ever goal scorer.

The legendary player scored 60 goals in a single season and 383 goals in his Everton career.

The development in the Grade II listed Jerome and Carlisle buildings has been given the blessing of  Dixie Dean’s family, including his daughter Barbara Dean and Granddaughter Melanie Prentice.

A new 160-cover restaurant, No9, is also ready to open in the hotel. The menu will feature ‘hearty dishes’ inspired by European cuisine.

The first hotel rooms, the restaurant and bar, will all open to the public this weekend, from Friday, July 12.

Additional rooms with whirlpool baths and plasma TVs, will be  completed before the end of the year.

Guests expected to attend the launch of the hotel and restaurant include Everton FC legends Duncan Ferguson, Neville Southall and current first-team player Andre Gomes.
