First look: Gringotts Bank at the Warner Bros Harry Potter Studio Tour

Wizarding fans will soon be able to visit Gringotts bank themselves, as the Harry Potter Studio Tour opens its latest attraction on April 6.

Today the Standard had a sneak peek inside the goblin-run spot, which features everything from the golden grand hall to an almost life-size recreation of the Ukranian Ironbelly dragon that destroyed the fictitious bank in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

In the main hall, visitors can learn about the costumes, prosthetics, designs, concepts and masks that brought the bank and the goblins who look after it to life. The column-lined marbled foyer of the bank has been filled with famous props from the films, including plenty of wizarding currency – galleons, sickles and knuts – as well as inkwells, quills and ledgers.

Gringotts plays host to some memorable moments in J.K Rowling's franchise, including Harry's first trip to Diagon Alley, and the time he, Hermione and Ron broke into the vault of Bellatrix Lestrange to destroy a horcrux.

Visitors can visit the Lestrange vault itself, which is fit to bursting with treasures including the Sword of Gryffindor and Helga Hufflepuff’s Cup.

The new 16,500 ft section of film history is the Studio Tour's largest expansion to date and will see guests enter via a brand new entrance. Other additions include a new section of Diagon Alley and a new introduction by JK Rowling in the cinema.

Must have Instagram moment? A shot under the chandelier encrusted with 30,000 crystals in the great hall. It's seriously worth the wait.
