First look at UK's new £75million water park with wave machines and a water-based spa

Thrill-seekers have been given their first look at one of the UK's most amazing water parks.

The Elysium Water Park will cost a massive £75million and is expected to be the UK's biggest and best water park.

It will include splash pools, wave machines and even have Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies to help add to the adrenaline, reports the Mirror.

The Elysium Water Park is expected to open in 2023, but we've already had a sneak peek thanks to a series of artists' impressions the project's team have released.

And it looks utterly incredible.

There's a sneak peek of some of the thrilling slides and tunnels that will be on offer for thrill-seekers, as well as large tube attractions where visitors can float down spacious rivers.

Although not too much has been revealed about the exact attractions, we know that they will use a mix of VR and AR to enhance the experience.

Oh, and the flumes will also be transparent so that when you're racing down the slides you'll get to enjoy views of the park (or realise just how high up you are!).

If all of the excitement and thrills get too much for adults, then they might want to head to the on-site 'water-based spa' which will be for anyone aged 18 and over.

Based on the concept art we're thinking whirlpools, dining venues with indulgent dishes, and even saunas and steam rooms - but it's worth noting that the resort hasn't yet confirmed exactly what will be on offer at the spa.

There's plenty of space too, as the water park boasts 75 acres of space, with a handy location near Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

Of course that won't all be the water park. There will also be country gardens, a lake, outdoor sitting areas, country walking trails and restaurants for visitors to explore.

When it's finished, Elysium will boast a capacity for 4,000 visitors a day, and it's expected to welcome around one million guests every year.

You can find out more on the  Elysium Water Park website  , and you can also find plenty more updates on the  water park's Facebook page  .
