First look at The Weakest Link as Janette 'blames' HRVY for Strictly exit

Janette Manrara blamed HRVY for their Strictly Come Dancing exit as they took part in the new series of The Weakest Link.

The pair are appearing in a very special Strictly edition of The Weakest Link, which airs this Saturday, and in a first look clip - shared exclusively with The Mirror - Janette makes a decision about HRVY's future on the show and has a very big reason why.

Dancer Janette was partnered with HRVY on last year's series of the BBC One show, and they managed to make it all the way to the final - before narrowly missing out on the Glitterball trophy to Bill Bailey and Oti Mabuse.

And in a funny clip from The Weakest Link, Janette has joked she "blames" the pop star for their early exit.

In the video, host Romesh Ranganathan calls out the dancer for voting for her former dance partner, as he says: "Janette, you voted for HRVY. You danced with HRVY in the show, didn't you? Did he step on your toe or something and not apologise?"

And the dancer replied bluntly: "No, we just didn't win Strictly because of him."

As the camera panned out to see HRVY's reaction, his mouth fell open and the pair both broke into fits of laughter, as Romesh added: "Do you know what? To be honest with you, up to this point it's all been a bit fun, but now you guys are turning on each other."

Catherine Tyldesley also voted for HRVY and when asked to give her reasoning, the former Coronation Street actress shared: "I'm really clutching at straws here, but just because he's the youngest, he might not have quite as much general knowledge."

HRVY then kept a straight face as he joked back: "Ageism," as Romesh added: "To be fair Catherine, I think he's taking it really well."

King of the ballroom Anton du Beke then shared: "I liked it when you said it's a very very difficult decision to make early on with everyone here, turns out - not so difficult after all."

Janette is married to Strictly pro Aljaž Škorjanec and she previously praised the show for keeping their marriage strong.

"The show was a massive part of us staying together and getting married. I’d like to presume we would have got married no matter what because we’re soulmates, but I think Strictly made it so much easier for us to stay together and for our romance to really flourish," she explained to The Mirror recently.

*The Weakest Link starts on Saturday 18th December at 6.10pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
