First look at the Fred Perry x Bella Freud collection modelled by Gal-dem editor Liv Little

British designers Fred Perry and Bella Freud have joined forces on a new collection featuring Gal-dem editor Liv Little.

Archive Fred Perry pieces have been reimagined by Freud, who is known for her 70s styling and pop art inspired knitwear. Key pieces include classic Fred Perry sweatshirts with ‘ENGLISH BOY’ across the front and a white tracksuit embroidered with whimsical stars, paying homage to the high-low fashion of Freud’s West London upbringing.

Freud, who is the daughter of artist Lucien Freud and great granddaughter of the prolific psychoanalysist Sigmund Freud, grew up in the 1970s between Morocco and west London. Freud was inspired by the androgynous street style of her youth; particularly women in over-sized menswear paired with glamorous accessories.

Alongside her eponymous fashion label Freud has dressed Kate Moss, Marianne Faithfull, Jerry Hall and Chloe Sevigny. She modelled last week in the Oxfam Fashion Fighting Poverty show styled by ES Magazine's Fashion Director at Large Bay Garnett.

The collection is available online and in Fred Perry shops from February 21, 2019.
