First look at new Liver Building plans for bar, restaurant and gym

This is a first look at a major new transformation at Liverpool's iconic Royal Liver Building.

It will contain a trendy restaurant, a coffee shop and a swanky bar along with a gym and cycle facilities.

The building will be revamped with around 43,000 sq ft of Grade A office space.

The development, managed by real estate consultancy practice CBRE, will combine high quality office space, alongside amenities, health and wellbeing activities and is to be completed by November 2019.

This phase of works includes the creation of an open plan, mixed use concourse with mezzanine and gallery spaces.

This latest development follows the opening earlier this year of Royal Liver Building 360, a unique visitor attraction open to the public for the first time in the building's 108-year history.

Neil Kirkham, director of CBRE’s Office Agency team in Liverpool, said: “This really is a pivotal moment in the history of The Royal Liver Building. The work that has now commenced on site really will reposition the offer of the building and expercine to both occupiers and visitors alike.”
