Michigan State basketball and Tom Izzo had one of their all-time greatest tournament runs despite a disappointing finish. Tom Izzo was finally able to once again best Coach K’s Duke Blue Devils in the Elite Eight to earn the honor of taking his team to the Final Four.
Of course, there were multiple heroes in the tournament for the Spartans who contributed to their run and win versus Duke.
Cassius Winston proved that he is one of the best players in the NCAA and can lead a team to the highest levels of excellence.
Xavier Tillman emerged as a versatile offensive and defensive weapon, putting up, perhaps, the best defensive effort against Zion Williamson we saw last year.
Of course, Kenny Goins sealed the win away against Duke with a timely jumper at the end of the game.
