Fans of The Love Island have been given a glimpse at the Majorca villa as builders and crew are completing a huge transformation.
And it appears it's all hands on deck to get the previously stunning site up to scratch for the dating show which is set to return to our ITV screens on June 28th.
Last month, the villa was pictured in a sorry state with crumbling walls around the once plush pool and no decking where the day beds used to be.
Now the builders are cracking on to given it an extensive make over before the contestant can check in and make themselves comfortable.
The complex was captured looking more like a loading bay than a romantic getaway as it was awash with shipping containers, construction vehicles and trailers.
The behind-the-scenes images show the extensive effort ITV crews are putting in to make the sprawling setting the perfect backdrop for Love Islanders and viewers.
Other shots of the site appear to show the cast and crew are being housed in pop up tents and temporary offices across the villa's extensive grounds.
Due to the Covid pandemic, the production company have had to look at multiple locations to ensure the show could be on-air.
Love Island had to cancel the summer series last year and they axed the winter series earlier this year.
But TV bosses were working tirelessly to get it back on our screens this summer.
There were apparently a few back up options if they were able to jet the sexy singletons out to Majorca for their summer filled with romance.
An insider told The Sun : “In a perfect world Love Island would be filmed at original villa they use in Mallorca.
“But the pandemic has meant contingency plans are more important than ever and other locations have been discussed for the show.
“Nothing is off the cards for Love Island at the moment.”
Love Islanders are expected to be flying out in Majorca on June 20.
Filming is then expected to begin in the famous villa a week later.
Last week comedian Iain Stirling – who provides the show’s voiceover – teased the return of Love Island in Majorca.
The Love Island voiceover star shared a picture of two Love Island themed water bottles, with his and the show’s host Laura Whitmore ‘s name written on them.
“Not long now…” he captioned the image.
The image sparked a series of comments from fans as they shared their excitement for the shows return.
Already excitement has been building around the summer series of Love Island with the trailer featuring Laura Whitmore playing out on TV.
Love Island was last filmed in Spain way back in 2019 – when Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea were crowned winners ahead of Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury.
A winter edition of the show was filmed at the beginning of 2020 in South Africa before the Covid-19 pandemic brought chaos to international travel.
