A first look has been revealed of Glasgow's newest pedestrian bridge which will extend over the Forth and Clyde Canal in the north of the city.
Work commenced back in October for the new bridge, which will connect Garscube Road in the Maryhill area with Claypits Local Nature Reserve.
It will improve access to the Hamiltonhill Claypits for the residents of local communities, as part of plans which include new picnic areas, new and improved pathways and new gateways.
It comes as work continues on a new boardwalk alongside the canal nearby at Firhill Basin, which people will soon be able to enjoy while they visit the city's only inner-city Local Nature Reserve.

Both the bridge and the boardwalk follow on from opening of a 'secret' 845-metre-long pathway trail back in March of 2018, a robust, all-weather path built to allow the public to explore the 25 acres of woodland and wetland that make up the Claypits - located just a mile from the city centre.
Scottish Canals awarded Mackenzie Construction a contract for the design and construction of the new bridge, which was first mooted way back in 2016.
