First look at Edinburgh Chaiiwala after grand opening at busy capital retail park

A sneak peak inside of the first Chaiiwala in Edinburgh has been revealed as the New Delhi style café opened its doors in the capital.

The unit located at Edinburgh’s Fort Kinnaird will bring a taste of India to capital residents with customers able to enjoy some of Chaiiwala's signature hot drinks including their Caramel Chaii, Garam Chocolate, Pink Chaii and Cinnamon Tea.

Not only this, but those visiting the street-food style café will also be able to devour delicious dishes such as their Desi Breakfast, English-Ish Breakfast, Karachi Bun Kebab, Chicken Tikka in Naan and Masala Chips.

Images from inside the eatery show a crisp modern interior with plenty of seating for those taking a break from their hectic shopping trip and refuelling.

Chaiiwala have taken up their residence at the busy retail park and are placed in between Tui and Curry’s at Fort Kinnaird within the vacant retail unit next to Tui and Currys at Fort Kinnaird.

The business has 75 cafés across the UK and they recently opened their first in Scotland through in Glasgow.

The company, who had been plotting a launch in the capital for some time, say they are one of the fastest-growing independent businesses in the UK and hope to open a further 500 stores worldwide within the next decade.

Last month, Liam Smith, centre director at Fort Kinnaird said: "It’s always a pleasure to welcome new retailers to the centre and we know Chaiiwala will be a big hit with hungry visitors keen to experience all of the delicious Indian street food on the menu.

"We’ll continue to invest in Fort Kinnaird to make it the best shopping, leisure and dining destination in the area, which includes continuing to bring our shoppers new brands and experiences into 2023."

Chaiiwala also sell a selection of cold coffee drinks and desserts. To view their full menu or for more information about the brand, you can visit their website here.
