First look at Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing in ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ LEAKED online—WATCH

The highly anticipated reboot of Marvel’s 'Fantastic Four' franchise is still a year away from its release, but this latest leaked video from the sets is sending fans into a frenzy.

The video, which has been circulating on social media, offers the first glimpse of Ebon Moss-Bachrach fully transformed into the iconic, superhero Ben Grimm aka The Thing in from the upcoming 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps'.

In the brief clip, the actor, best known for his roles in The Punisher and The Bear, is seen in full costume, embodying the massive and rock-covered hero.

The footage showcases the costumes and prosthetics used to bring the superhero to life, a stark contrast to his VFX-generated appearance in previous movies. In the video, a man, believed to be Moss-Bachrach, is seen squeezing himself into the bulky suit beneath his superhero costume, with a full-head mask being adjusted by the crew.

Comparisons are already being made between Ebon's portrayal and previous live-action versions of The Thing, particularly the version played by Michael Chiklis in the 20th Century Fox films. While Chiklis also wore a practical suit, Moss-Bachrach's costume appears more comprehensive, covering both the torso and legs, as opposed to the earlier versions where he is depicted wearing only pants.

The new images and video have sparked positive reactions from fans, who are praising the MCU's direction with this version of The Thing. As filming continues, it's only a matter of time before other members of the Fantastic Four—played by Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, and Joseph Quinn—are seen in their superhero suits as well.

Directed by Matt Shakman, 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' is slated to arrive in 2025.
