EastEnders' cast and crew finally returned to filming yesterday and fans were given a sneak peak on This Morning.
The BBC soap was forced to suspend filming in March as the country went into lockdown during the coronavirus pandemic.
Earlier this month, the Walford soap went off-air for the first time in 35 years after it ran out of episodes.
EastEnders cast and crew returned to the set this week and Sharon Mashall opened up about how shooting went.
Speaking to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, Sharon said: "They returned to filming yesterday, everything went brilliantly well.
"Everyone's pleased to be back on the set."
Showing the actors on set in the marketplace with everyone maintaining social distancing and Sharon spoke about the new techniques used to direct actors.
"They're using the technique that everyone's using with a massive two metre stick," she said. "So you can poke people to make sure they're a two-metre distance from each other."
EastEnders' rivals Emmerdale and Coronation Street have already returned to work, with the former being the first back on set in late May.
Hollyoaks is yet to return to filming yet, with cast and crew set to be back on set in July.
Sharon went on to speak about tonight's Secrets From The Square episode, which sees Letitia Dean and Adam Woodyatt speak to presenter Stacey Dooley.
The pair will reminisce about their time on EastEnders and also tease new episodes, which are set to air in the autumn.
