First look at Derry Girl Saorise Monica Jackson in new superhero blockbuster

Take a look at the first image of Derry Girls star Saorise Monica Jackson as she stars in a new superhero blockbuster.

The Flash follows Barry Allen who uses his super speed to change the past, but his attempt to save his family creates a world without super heroes, forcing him to race for his life in order to save the future.

In 2021, it was announced the actress, most known for her role as Erin Quinn in the acclaimed Channel 4 comedy Derry Girls, would be joining the star-studded cast of the DC Comics adaptation.

With the UK release date fast approaching this month, Saorise's role that had been kept a secret as theatrical trailers began to be released earlier this year has finally been announced.

A new image of the actress standing beside Erza Millar who plays The Flash and actor Rudy Mancus reveals she is playing comic book character Patty Spivot who is a friend and partner of The Flash.

Other big names in the film include Michael Keaton and Ben Afflick who will reprise his DCEU role as Bruce Wayne/Batman, the original version of Wayne from Barry's timeline in the film and the leader of the Justice League.

Earlier this year, Saorise shared a trailer for the film on social media with the caption "I'm beyond excited to be part of this very epic & extremely cook movie".
