While Oscar nominations are a few months away, the likelihood of The Tragedy Of Macbeth receiving some nods is quite high, because Joel Coen's film boasts one hell of an impressive lineup.
Oscar winners Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand lead a stellar cast that also includes Corey Hawkins, Brendan Gleeson, and Harry Melling.

The film marks a rare solo outing for Joel Coen, who is often regarded as one of the greatest American filmmakers, alongside brother Ethan Coen. The pair have always worked together on features like Fargo, No Country For Old Men and The Big Lebowski.
McDormand recently won her third and fourth Oscars this year for Best Actress and Best Picture with Nomadland which she produced (she previously also won for Fargo and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) and she could very well find herself with another acting nomination for sinking her teeth into Lady Macbeth.
Aside from this, Washington is a two-time Oscar winner for his work in Glory and Training Day, while Gleeson is a four-time Golden Globe nominee and an Emmy Award winner among many others.
Washington stars in the title role, while Corey Hawkins stars as Macduff.
The Tragedy of Macbeth will be released in cinemas on December 25 and it will also be available to stream on Apple TV+ from January 14.
