First look as BBC drama 'The Nest' begins filming on Buchanan Street

TV stars have been out in force in Glasgow's city centre today as filming kicks off for a new BBC series.

There was a lot of activity on Buchanan Street as cast and crew gathered outside Chaophraya  to film scenes for upcoming drama The Nest.

The show will be shot on location across the city over the next few weeks (Alisdair Woodburn)

As reported on Glasgow Live , the show will be shot on location across the city over the next few weeks and will see Martin Compston and Peaky Blinders star Sophie Rundle work their acting chops on the streets of Glasgow.

Cameras got rolling today, with road closures across the north side of Nelson Mandela Place as a result.

We're all still waiting for a wee glimpse of cast members, but we're hoping we might spot while he's here.
