First look and video tour of the latest show home at Trent Basin ahead of the launch this weekend

Eight new homes including a brand new show home are being launched at Trent Basin this weekend, Saturday, May 18, and Sunday, May 19, and we have an exclusive sneak peek ahead of the unveiling.

The latest phase of the development fronts the river and so the properties being launched have tremendous river views which can be enjoyed from inside the homes and from the winter gardens.

What are winter gardens? Balconies with fully glazed frontages and retractable windows that can either be closed up for warmth in the winter or drawn back in the summer to enjoy the fresh air.

The new riverside properties include a mix of three- and four-bedroom, three-storey homes and the iconic Tower House.  The 1,859 square foot Tower House is still at construction stage but can be reserved.  The show home is fully completed and decorated to give you a feel for how your home could look. It can't be reserved at the moment but the other homes being launched can.

These contemporary homes are priced from £420,000 and each have a flexible open-plan ground floor for living and dining, an open-air roof terrace, enclosed south-facing patio and unique winter garden.

Samantha Veal is chief executive of Blueprint, the developer of Trent Basin: She said: "It is always a pleasure to open our doors and introduce new visitors to the Trent Basin way of life. We find that residents have been quick to create a sense of community and embrace the lifestyle choices that a riverside location offers. It can be a wonderfully calm and quiet environment, with opportunities for cycling, walking and waterborne fun. Equally the sights and services of a buzzing city centre are just minutes away – no need to compromise for those really looking for the very best of both worlds."

The new showhome's interior design has been created by Territory Interior Design of Manchester. A palette of slate green, terracotta and pink hues, warm creams and grey have been used alongside textured natural materials inspired by the natural environment found directly on its doorstep.

All homes have views over the River Trent and The Hook Nature Reserve and home owners will be able to watch life along the River Trent pass by their window, or choose to dive straight in and paddle by their new home. Despite the tranquil waterside, Trent Basin is also just 10 minutes away from Nottingham city centre.

The riverfront homes will be released for sale at 11.00am on Saturday, May 18.  Also available to view at the weekend will be the remaining two-bedroom mews house and the only available penthouse apartment, which has views over the river and historic basin. And when you are ready for a break from viewing, Sam from the Brew Bird mobile coffee team will be on hand serving up artisan coffees.

Samantha added: "We have fielded enquiries for our riverfront homes since plans for Phase 2 were shared two years ago. Now we are finally releasing them for reservation – and purchasers can expect to move in for the summer – perfect timing."
