The first job loss of Brexit was confirmed at the exact moment Britain left the EU.
Steve Barclay, the former Brexit Secretary became Brexit's first job casualty, as his department was shut down.
While the civil servants will be found jobs elsewhere in Whitehall Mr Barclay will lose his seat at the Cabinet table.
But even if he doesn't get a new job in the looming reshuffle, he'll walk away with a substantial 'golden goodbye.'
He'll be offered around £17,000 - assuming he doesn't get another ministerial job within three weeks.
He can choose to give up the payment if he wishes.

The Prime Minister's official spokesman said yesterday: "In the usual way, all ministers are entitled to payments when they step down from their job.
"It's obviously up to individuals what they choose to do."
Prime Minister Boris Johnson thanked Mr Barclay for his service.
In a letter to Mr Barclay, he wrote: "On the day that the United Kingdom leaves the EU, you can take particular pride that we are delivering on our promise to the British people to get Brexit done.
"Your work and that of your department has been absolutely crucial in ensuring that we are leaving the EU with a great new deal and that we are in such a strong position going into the negotiations about our future relationship."
