First injury report for Chargers ahead of matchup vs. Broncos

The Chargers had their first practice ahead of this Sunday’s matchup against the Broncos at Dignity Health Sports Park.

Here’s is the injury report following Wednesday’s session:

Safety Nasir Adderley (hamstring), kicker Michael Badgley (right groin), tight end Hunter Henry (knee), defensive end Melvin Ingram (hamstring) and running back Justin Jackson (calf) were all non-participants today.

Adderley dealt with a hamstring injury this summer, which kept him out from the majority of training camp and preseason. Hopefully his injury isn’t a more severe reoccurrence.

Badgley is still dealing with the groin injury on his right side. If he is unable to go this weekend, rookie Chase McLaughlin will start as the Bolts’ kicker.

Coach Anthony Lynn was asked about Ingram reportedly missing a couple weeks because of the hamstring injury, and he denied those reports. Lynn said that Ingram is in his ear everyday, expressing how much he wants to play. The team is taking it day by day with him.

Jackson was seen not wearing wearing a boot today.

Wide receivers Travis Benjamin (hip), Mike Williams (back), linebacker Thomas Davis (groin) and tight end Virgil Green were all limited.

Lynn said that Williams is feeling a lot better.
