'First in Scotland': New 'free' store opens in Glasgow shopping centre

A GOOD cause has opened its "first-ever free Scottish store" in a busy Glasgow shopping centre.

Buchanan Galleries announced that Global Educational Trust Bookshops opened its brand-new "FREE" book shop in the centre recently.

The worthy cause is dedicated to promoting literacy and encouraging a love of reading by offering free access to books.

Each customer who visits the store can take three books home for free.

In a social media post, Buchanan Galleries said: "Say hello to our brand-new FREE book store!

"Global Educational Trust Bookshops – GET Free Books is dedicated to promoting literacy and encouraging a love of reading by offering free access to books, and this brand new opening marks the arrival of its first-ever store in Scotland, bringing free books to Glasgow!

"Each guest is able to take up to three books home completely free, so pop by the new store to explore its wide range of second-hand books now.

"Have some previously-loved books you're looking to re-home? Donate them in-store and show your support!"
