First images of huge 730-space multi-storey car park planned for Stoke-on-Trent

The first images have been released of a huge 730-space multi-storey car park which is being planned for Stoke-on-Trent.

Genr8 Developments has drawn-up proposals for the car park as part of the ongoing Smithfield development in the city centre.

Now the developer has launched a consultation over the plans for the car park which will have eight levels and separate entrances for cars, motorbikes and bicycles.

It will be built on the site of the existing 106-space Broad Street car park in Hanley.

The car park makes up part of the next phase of Smithfield development which will include the construction of a 62,000 sq ft office building and the completion of the 140-bed Hilton Garden Inn hotel and the 11-storey Clayworks apartment block.

If approved, works are expected to start before the summer is out, with the car park potentially operational by September 2021.

The consultation will run until Wednesday, August 12. To take part, click here.
