First images of Batman as the Caped Crusader spotted filming in Glasgow

He's here folks!

Batman has been spotted filming scenes for blockbuster movie The Batman in Glasgow this afternoon.

Cameras captured the Caped Crusader on his 'Batbike' within the Necropolis during filming for the superhero franchise.

Although, unfortunately, rather than being the main man himself Robert Pattinson suited up doing scenes for the film, the Batman in question is a stuntman.

The news comes after Glasgow Live caught a sneak peek at preparations for the big-budget movie taking place around Glasgow Cathedral and the Victorian cemetery yesterday.

With film crews spotted setting up closed-off Necropolis with props for the movie prior the commencement of filming - which will last over the weekend.

While it also comes after rumours surfaced online suggesting that Glasgow Cathedral may be 'blown up' in the new movie, after reports reached us that a mock of the Cathedral has been built in a hangar near London as scenes for the movie get filmed there.

Regardless if that is the case or not, we can't wait to see Glasgow double up as Gotham on the big screen!

The Batman, directed by Matt Reeves, is due to release in March of 2021.
