First glimpse of what to expect in new Top Gear with Freddie Flintoff and Paddy McGuinness

Top Gear fans will get a first glimpse of the new series with Paddy McGuinness and Freddie Flintoff with an official trailer tonight (Sunday).

The Lancashire lads Paddy join motoring journalist and racing-driver Chris Harris in the new series.

The duo, who joined the BBC Two show after Friends Star Matt LeBlance stepped down last year after presenting four series, are shown experimenting with cars while adventuring - from the mountains of Ethiopia to beaches in Wales.

Although the show won't be aired until June, the first official teaser of the show will be aired at 8.59pm, just before Gentlemen Jack on BBC One.

The action-packed trailer opens with the three musketeers paddling a car down a river in the jungles of Borneo, while the Take Me Out host McGuinness declares: "I'm out of my comfort zone."

In the fun-filled preview, McGuinness, Flintoff and Harris are seen racing old bangers as well as speedy chases in a number of vehicles, including the McLaren 600LT, the Ferrari 488 Pista, a Daimler Hearse and an obscure French 1970s Matra Bagheera.

Another segment in the teaser shows a battered-looking motor falling apart, with Flintoff casually telling driver McGuinness: "It's alright, you don't need it."

In another scene, Freddie gets behind the wheel of a Porsche and fights to win a race with a mini. And he’s even seen being pulled like a corpse out of the back of a hearse.

McGuinness says: "It's just another day at the office."

The TV trailer is backed by Dolly Parton's 9 To 5.
