First glimpse of Liverpool's name on the Premier League trophy

Now it's official.

Liverpool 's long wait to become Premier League champions ended last month but until now, their famous name hasn't graced the Premier League trophy.

Despite wrapping up the league title in June, Liverpool were nowhere to be seen on the list of champions at the bottom of the sought-after trophy.

But that has now been taken care of with the inscribing of the club's name on the silverware taking place today.

Sky Sports have released a video of Liverpool's name being added under a long list of winners.

'2019-20 Liverpool' can be seen on the trophy in the video, written below last year's champions, Manchester City.

The Reds are set to be presented with the trophy on Wednesday after they face Chelsea in the club's final home game of the season.

The trophy presentation will, of course, be in front of an empty Anfield.

Though as revealed on the Liverpool Echo yesterday, players may be allowed to invite family members to witness the crowning moment.
