First gay couple appears on 'kiss cam' in ice hockey game

A gay couple have appeared on a stadium's 'kiss cam' for the first time in a US Ice Hockey game.

Brad Parr and Andy Evans were attending a match between the Los Angeles Kings, the side they support, and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The couple can be seen in the video drawing a particularly loud cheer as they appear alongside other couples.

Mr Evans later tweeted saying how excited he was at making 'gay history'.

Speaking to Outsports.com, a site specialising in LGBT issues across sport, Mr Parr said how being featured couldn't have come at a more appropriate match.

"It was a particularly sweet night since the Kings were playing and beat my hometown Toronto," Parr told Outsports. "My parents and siblings live in LA but the rest of my family think I am a terrible traitor for being a Kings fan; I've lived in LA for 17 years."

Another Los Angeles team was lauded for similar reasons last year, when a gay couple was featured on the Dodgers baseball team's 'kiss cam'.
